How should I go about feeding 2 cats who eat different food?

However, I would like to start feeding my older cat more “adult” cat food and not so much of the kitten chow. Any advice on how to manage this with two cats? The other cat cant eat you should keep the food so the food so the cats in seperate rooms when they are done eating you.
